This Sunday the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri will play host to the Battleground pay-per-view with Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar headlining the event.
Interesting matches are taking place on the evening but this week all of the attention has been on the likes of The Undertaker and Sting who are rumoured to be appearing the coming week.
But before we can get excited by their potential arrivals, we need to focus on the matches that are taking place on Sunday at Battleground. Most fans will have their predictions drawn up by now, but we’ve taken to the WWE 2K15 video game to see who the game thinks will win this coming Sunday.

The five matches that have been simulated – which you can vew below – include; the Prime Time Players defending the WWE Tag Team Championships against Big E and Kofi Kingston of the New Day, Sheamus taking on Randy Orton, and Ryback defending the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz and The Big Show (Yes, we know he is injured and now out the event).
Bray Wyatt battles Roman Reigns whilst Seth Rollins defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar.
Take a look at the videos below to see who WWE 2K15 thinks will be victorious at Battleground.
RYBACK VS. THE BIG SHOW VS. THE MIZ – INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The sad news is Ryback is out injured and won’t be competing in the championship match this Sunday. Now whether that means the whole match is cancelled or we get a one on one match between The Miz and The Big Show in non-title action, that remains to be seen.
Now all of the matches that were simulated took place with no external factors. Meaning no interferences or even appearances by Sting or The Undertaker which could actually take place on Sunday. If this match was to go ahead, WWE 2K15 thinks we would have crowned ourselves a new Intercontinental Champion.
ROMAN REIGNS VS. BRAY WYATT
Fans are torn between Wyatt and Reigns. Both men could do with the win and they both have a fair chance of actually defeating the other in a feud which could end at Battleground.
It does make sense for the two to go at it again at SummerSlam – unless the WWE has major plans for both – but regardless of what happens in the future, WWE 2K15 has picked its winner.
THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS VS. THE NEW DAY – WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
This should be a good match on Sunday. The two teams have entertained and it remains doubtful that The Prime Time Players could drop the titles so soon after winning them.
They have looked like good champions, but there’s always the chance that with the New Day being great heels and one of the best teams in the division, the titles could switch hands. I went with Big E and Kofi Kingston representing the New Day based on rating, although it may not play out that way on Sunday. But in WWE 2K15 were they able to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships?
SHEAMUS VS. RANDY ORTON
This isn’t a match the fans are really looking forward to considering we have seen the two go at it countless times. But considering there’s nothing else for them right now, it’s better than nothing.
Many are expecting Sheamus to win as it would build momentum on the road to him cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Orton is no pushover though, be it in real life or in the video game. Click the video below to see whether Orton was able to defeat Sheamus.
SETH ROLLINS VS. BROCK LESNAR – WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
The match everyone is looking forward to. No J&J Security and no Kane means Rollins faces an almost impossible task.
Ignoring the rumours of an Undertaker appearance or any other interference, WWE 2K15 has picked a winner; but will it play out that way this Sunday at Battleground?
The Kevin Owens and John Cena match is also one fans are excited for, but it’s unfair to simulate that on WWE 2K15 considering Kevin Owens is not in the game and a created wrestler wouldn’t make it a fair battle between the two.
