Arsenal fans, if you could rewind time and have any Gunners legend play for you now, who would you choose?

That was the million dollar question that was put forward to Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Did he say Thierry Henry? Maybe he wants to play alongside the wizard Dennis Bergkamp? Or would the leader Tony Adams tighten up the defence and end Arsenal's Premier league title drought?

Shock choice

It’s a mouth-watering question that could, no would, leave fans over the world thinking for hours over the possibilities.

A room full of journalists were anticipating the moment when the Ox would reveal his boyhood hero. The England international though was in no mood for seriousness however, and instead poked fun by saying Nicklas Bendtner (video below).

All jokes from the Ox

The room was somewhat, I’m sure, annoyed but not surprised as the Oxlade-Chamberlain has built up a reputation of being a bit of a clown.

Bendtner had a career in north London that spanned for almost a decade, but was often the source of mockery from fans, and has been dubbed 'Lord Bendtner' for his overriding ego.

The Denmark international has previously compared himself to the best in world football, but Arsene Wenger thought otherwise and sold him overseas.

The 27-year old currently plays for Wolfsburg in Germany, who are set to feature in the Champions League next season. Arsenal vs Wolfsburg, anyone?

Arsenal fans, if you could add one former player to the current lineup who would it be? Let us know in the comments box below.
