Victor Moses will be given the opportunity to resurrect his Chelsea career by manager Jose Mourinho, following two season out on loan.

Following a £9 million move from Wigan Athletic Moses' days at Stamford Bridge appeared to be number after being farmed out on loan to Liverpool and Stoke City.

The Nigerian winger has not made an appearance for Chelsea since Mourinho came back to the club however the Portuguese manager is ready to give the wide man a chance in the first-team following his 'evolution'.

Moses was limited to 23 league appearances for Chelsea, 11 of them coming as a substitute, in his only full season with the Blues. He did however score five goals in on the road to Europa League success.

After a highly unsuccessful loan spell at Liverpool he found form at Stoke City, scoring three goals in 19 appearances during a season that was disrupted by injury.

As seen in the London Evening Standard, Mourinho is confident Moses can fit back in to life at Chelsea, he said: "I see him fitting in. He’s strong, he’s experienced, he knows the Premier League well, he’s fast, he’s aggressive.

"Okay, he has to play with us. But I’m happy with his week, with his 45 minutes and the next match (against Paris Saint Germain) he will have 45 more minutes. But Victor has had an evolution in the last couple of years."

With Mohamed Salah's career at Stamford Bridge seemingly over, and the club prepared to listen to offers for Juan Cuadrado, Chelsea are short on wingers who can provide competition for the starting duo of Eden Hazard and Willian.

The manager has also confirmed 19-year-old Bertrand Traore will be involved in the first-team experience, but Moses' previous Premier League experience should stand him in good stead heading into the new season.

The two players have been involved during pre-seaon, playing 45 minutes of Chelsea's shock 4-2 loss to New York Red Bulls.
