Manchester United star Angel di Maria looks set to join French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days after the two clubs agreed a fee in the region of £45.9 million for his services.

The Mirror claim that Di Maria, who is set to join up with the Red Devils in North America, will ultimately depart with PSG, with Laurent Blanc's side also in the country on their pre-season tour.

Di Maria, then, looks set to depart United after a tricky opening campaign with the club. Despite a fine opening couple of months in England, the Argentine international, who became Manchester United's record signing, failed to produce the goods in the second half of the campaign, and was often placed on the bench.

The versatile midfielder will no doubt be hoping to get his career back on track in France, as PSG go in search of securing success on the European scene sooner rather than later.

According to the same report from the Mirror, United look set to swoop for Barcelona ace Pedro, who has struggled for opportunities at the Nou Camp in recent time.

A fine replacement

And United fans should be excited by the prospect of the Spanish international joining the club's ranks. Ultimately, for one reason or another, it just hasn't worked out for Di Maria on English soil, but Pedro is well equipped to prove himself in the Premier League.

A hard worker, with full of talent, the Barcelona man can certainly produce the goods for the Red Devils, and will no doubt suit the club's style of play. Ashley Young will no doubt prove an important member of the United side once again next term, but Pedro is certainly an upgrade on the Englishman.

Manchester United fans: Will you be sad to see Di Maria go? Is Pedro the right man to replace him? Have your say below!
