Arsenal fans appear to be pretty adamant that they want the club to secure the services of Alexandre Lacazette in this transfer window.

With Arsene Wenger's side playing host to Lyon in the Emirates Cup this afternoon, the Gunners faithful have asked for the club to sign the star striker every time the club have mentioned him on Twitter.

The Gunners, of course, have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old, who enjoyed a sensational campaign in Ligue 1 last time round.

It's far from certain, however, as to whether the Gunners are going to press ahead with a move for the player, but it's certainly a deal the fans want to see happen sooner rather than later.

With the Gunners absolutely demolishing their French counterparts in north London, perhaps a few fans may change their minds throughout the proceedings...

World-class striker needed

Ultimately, Arsenal appear to have a team ready to fight for the Premier League title next term, but perhaps the club do need one more world-class player in attack.

At the end of the day, the duo of Chelsea and Manchester City have Diego Costa and Sergio Aguero, who are most definitely the level above the likes of Theo Walcott and Olivier Giorud.

A top name would no doubt improve Arsene Wenger's side, but the club must make the right decision. Perhaps Lacazette would be a good choice.
