Bayern Munich coach Jurgen Klinsmann has contradicted comments made by his chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claiming he does have a squad capable of winning the Champions League.

Rummenigge had on Friday claimed that the breakdown of the new television deal was the death knell for German clubs in Europe and that there would be no Champions League winner from the Bundesliga in the foreseeable future. But Klinsmann believes there is a lot more than just money goes into winning Europe´s most prized club trophy.

"I don´t accept the argument of the financial discrepancy to the big (clubs)," he told the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper. "The top 15 clubs in Europe are all filled with international players and at the end of the day it is the atmosphere and the philosophy to work which is more important than a 100million euro transfer."
