Diego Costa has promised to help Radamel Falcao get back to his best, stating that he is looking forward to forging a successful partnership.

Chelsea are currently on their pre-season tour, where new signing Falcao has joined up with his new teammates ahead of the 2015-16 season.

Falcao will have former Atletico Madrid teammate Costa for company, as the striker duo line up for Chelsea under manager Jose Mourinho.

Horrible Spell

The Colombian forward might have endured a torrid spell at Manchester United last term, but that did not deterred Mourinho from making a move for the star as soon as he was released by the Old Trafford outfit.

Mourinho has since vowed to help Falcao become the best again in the world stage. The Monaco man was the main star during his time at Atletico Madrid, with Costa as his understudy. Now the roles have reversed at Stamford Bridge.

One of the Best

According to the Daily Mail, Costa said: "It’s good for us that he didn’t have the best of seasons as that’s why he’s now with us. We know that Falcao is a hugely talented player. The only thing he needs is to feel loved and trusted and he will get both here.”

During a brilliant debut season with Chelsea, the 26-year-old managed to score 20 goals in 26 league appearances, despite being sidelined for the final weeks of the 2014-15 term. He became a fan favourite in no time, garnering a strong backing from his manager.
