Saints' Will Smith launches Twitter attack on Junior Galette

Football News

The New Orleans Saints made headlines last week as they released controversial linebacker Junior Galette despite him currently being signed to a big money deal.

Galette wasn't happy with the decision and has since launched a social media attack against the Saints and many of their personnel.

Big rumours, big targets

There were certainly no punches pulled and Galette attacked first of all his former head coach Sean Peyton but also several Saints' players.

What do you make of the situation between Galette and the Saints? Have your say by signing up now to become a GMS writer:

Wideout Marques Colston and defensive end Will Smith were two other targets as strong claims were thrown at them too.

Claiming that Colston was washed up and Smith publicly abused his wife, Galette clearly had a lot of 'secrets' he wanted to share.

The account which lobbied the claims has since been deleted but one of his targets is clearly refusing to take it lying down.

Defensive end Smith took to his own Twitter account, but not to defend himself against the claims - to launch an attack of his own against Galette.

Smith didn't just settle for a verbal attack on Galette's girlfriend's account as he sent out another tweet which was aimed at the former Saints player himself.

Only time will tell if Galette's career in the NFL is over indefinitely but for the time being, it certainly seems to be at a low point.
