Galatasaray star Felipe Melo has confirmed that he wants to move to England, saying that he loves Chelsea and Jose Mourinho.
The 32-year-old defensive midfielder has revealed he plans to leave his current club after a successful stint in Turkey, although the idea of him earning a transfer to Stamford Bridge is somewhat bizarre.
Melo the warrior
Melo joined Gala last summer after spending two years with Juventus - in which he won the Serie A twice - but it’s been some time since he was regarded as a top-level player.

Nevertheless the Brazilian must believe he has something to offer Mourinho, describing himself as a ‘warrior’ that the English would take to.
"I am a warrior, the English like that," he said, as relayed by the Daily Express.
"I love Chelsea because I'm a big fan of Jose Mourinho."
No room at Chelsea
Naturally there’s little or no room for Melo in Chelsea’s title-winning squad, especially since Ruben Loftus-Cheek has now been promoted to the Blues fold.
Serbian bruiser Nemanja Matic is widely considered to be amongst the best midfield anchormen in the world, whilst the likes of Francesc Fabregas and Oscar rule the roost further forward.
Behind Matic - who is the closest player to Melo by comparison - there’s Ramires, John Obi Mikel and the aforementioned Loftus-Cheek, all of whom can lay claim to being better suited to Mourinho’s ambitions than Melo is.
Deal to be finalised
That won’t worry the midfielder too much however, as it’s believed he’s on the verge of a return to Italy via Inter Milan. Reports on the continent suggest that Melo completed a medical earlier this week, and should finalise terms over a £2.2million transfer in the coming days.
It looks as though Inter boss Roberto Mancini is building quite the squad at the San Siro as he prepares to take on the task over ousting Juventus from their dominant pole position in Serie A, with a number of high-profile figures having been linked with a move to his team of late.
Melo will follow in the footsteps of Manchester City star Stevan Jovetic if he does put pen to paper on a deal, with the Montenegrin’s own move to Inter set to be sealed in stone imminently.
