Dame Sarah Storey has claimed the 21st world title of her cycling career at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Nottwil, Switzerland.Storey triumphed by more than two minutes in the time trial as she looks to hone her skills ahead of the Rio Paralympics next year.The 37-year-old, who won four gold medals at London 2012, finished with a time of 30 minutes 52.35 seconds while her nearest competitor Anna Harkowska went round in 33mins 8.17secs.

"It's a massive relief to win. It was great to do three laps. Most of the para-cycling time-trials I've done have only been two laps so to get a 30-minute TT was really good," Storey told British Cycling.

"The year before Rio, to be putting time into your competitors is always good. That obviously shows that the training and preparation has gone well. Hopefully I'll be able to retain this title in Rio next year."

Storey will be aiming to collect her second rainbow jersey of the championships on Saturday when she goes in the road race.
