Premier League: Prem All-Stars?

2015 MLS All-Star Game

The United States are all for all-star sports teams with Basketball and Football (Soccer) taking the most talented players from their domestic leagues and creating a dream team to take on all challengers.

With players like Angel di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero, Eden Hazard and David de Gea, the squad for the EPL would be outstanding.

One ceremonial game a year could be played between either a north/south all-star team or the La Liga could follow our lead and join us in a great match.

It would truly show which league is the best as players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo would be partnered with each other and it would be a real spectacle.

The following teams are based on the last season and their individual respected qualities.

Right now a squad of 22 players could include:-

GK - De Gea, Courtois, Fabianski

DEF - Clyne, Terry (C), Ivanovic, Kompany, Bertrand, Mertesacker

MID - Hazard, Yaya Toure, Carrick, Matic, Eriksen, Mata, Fabregas, Sanchez, Di Maria

ST - Rooney, Aguero, Kane, Costa

Manager - Sir Alex Ferguson

Liverpool v Manchester United - Premier League

This would be a formidable squad to come against and although some of those mentioned players were struggling for form over one period or another last season the ones listed above, I believe would shine in a game like this, and the league winner should have the captains arm band.

The La Liga would have a squad mixed mainly of Barcelona, Real Madrid players, as you would expect:

GK - Casillas, Bravo, Diego Alves

DEF - Ramos, Otamendi, Pique, Dani Alves, Varane, Godin

MID - Ronaldo, Iniesta (C), Neymar, James Rodriguez, Bale, Koke, Rakatic, Thiago, Busquets

ST - Messi, Benzema, Bacca, Suarez

Manager - Luis Enrique

Juventus v FC Barcelona - UEFA Champions League Final

As the two best teams in the world, this annual game should be played in the biggest stadiums in the countries, Camp Nou and Wembley, or Old Trafford and Santiago Bernabeu.

With no official yays or nays we can only hope this gets presented some time in the future to both parties, and one day, just one day, we could have one of the greatest football games of all time and watch it live once a year.
