Manchester United interested in Lucas Moura

Manchester United have asked French money-bags Paris Saint-Germain about the availability of midfielder Lucas Moura.

This has been reported by the Mirror, who claim that the Red Devils are intent on spending the cash gained from the imminent sale of Angel di Maria as soon as possible, and have an interest in PSG's Brazilian ace.

PSG, of course, look set to sign Di Maria sooner rather than later, but it remains uncertain as to whether the Red Devils hierarchy will attempt to include Moura in any possible deal for the Argentine superstar.

Moura, at just 22-years of age, is recognised as one of the talented youngsters in Europe, so it would certianly prove tricky for United to bring him to Manchester anytime soon.

However, with Laurent Blanc's side seemingly intent on landing Di Maria, United may well believe that they're in a strong position when involved in negotiations.

The same report does go on to reveal, however, that United still have an interest in Spanish international Pedro despite Barcelona's recent claims that he won't be heading to England.

We've been here before

Let's be honest, though, with the whole Moura saga, we really have seen it all before. The brilliant Brazilian has been linked with United for some time now, and it's surely a waste of the club's time.

But, United obviously need a replacement for Di Maria, so it's crucial Van Gaal and Co. make their move sooner rather than later. It certainly looks set to be an interesting couple of weeks for all involved with the club.

Of course, if Moura really is available, then he'd make quite the coup for United, but is it really possible?
