Manchester United’s deal for Barcelona star Pedro appears as though it could be much further along than many fans assume, as the player’s mother has revealed her son is moving to England.

The winger’s future at the Nou Camp has been the subject of mass speculation of late, with it being said that he could finally leave the club after being frozen behind the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in the pecking order.

This comes in spite of the fact that the Spain international has been with Luis Enrique’s side on their pre-season tour of the US, and the fact that he has a product of their fabled La Masia academy.

Both United and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the wide-man, though it’s the former who look the more feasible destination due to Angel Di Maria’s imminent departure.

Di Maria out, Pedro in?

The Argentina international is said to be set to link up with Paris Saint-Germain having gone AWOL from his current club, leaving a position to be filled on Louis van Gaal’s flank.

If Pedro does trade Catalonia in for Old Trafford then he’ll have the likes of Memphis Depay, Adnan Januzaj and Antonio Valencia for company.

We’re sure he’ll fancy the odds of pushing past those three in the pecking order far more than the ones he’s currently faced with in Enrique’s fold.
