THE BEST TEAM LOST
Jose Mourinho has claimed the best team lost in yesterdays Community Shield as Chelsea fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal.
Mourinho has accused Arsenal of leaving their philosophy in the dressing room and adopting a defensive counter attacking approach to the game.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's goal was the difference on the day and the Chelsea boss congratulated Arsenal on what he called a tactical performance at Wembley.
The relationship between Mourinho and Wenger took a further hit after the game as the two appeared to ignore each other after the game.
NO GO FOR STONES
Mourinho has also suggested that Chelsea's chase of Everton defender John Stones is over.
The Stamford Bridge club have had two previous bids for the England player rejected with his current club insisting the player is not for sale.
It appeared a three way duel for the 21-year-old was heating up, with Manchester United and City also interested, however Chelsea appear to have ended their interest for now.
Mourinho also hinted the club will be turning their attentions elsewhere in the search for a new central defender.
RAHMAN TO THE RESCUE
It has been confirmed by the manager himself that Chelsea are working on a deal for FC Augsburg defender Baba Rahman.
The left-back is seen as a perfect replacement for Felipe Luis who rejoined Atletico Madrid after just one season in London.
The Ghanaian had a fine season for the German outfit, who surprised many by finishing fifth in the Bundesliga last season.
The 21-year-old is seen as healthy competition and a good back-up to regular full-back Cesar Azpilicueta.
