Louis van Gaal wants to sell one player quickly

Will David de Gea’s future finally be sorted by the time the Premier League kicks-off this weekend? There’s probably a handful of people in the world who know, but it’s now claimed that Louis van Gaal is keen to get a deal done as quickly as possible. The Dutchman is of the opinion that De Gea wants to move, according to Spanish newspaper Marca, and so is ready to push through a deal. But, and this is a big but, he’s facing an obstacle in the form of his own club, who don’t want to sell De Gea for anything less than €40million. At the same time it’s said that Real aren’t keen on paying that fee for a player whose contract expires next summer, making the whole saga one big, tangled mess. We’ll have more on that mess as it comes through. On a much more simple note Pep Guardiola has offered a worrying update on Bastian Schweinsteiger, stating that the Germany midfielder hasn’t been fit for three years.
