Nigel De Jong is an solid footballer with an eye for a tackle. Nope, no scrap that. Nigel De Jong is a footballer with an eye for a hard tackle.

Yesterday was no exception as he crunched Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich. The young midfielder could be seen releasing the ball as De Jong went in for a tackle, his knee going straight through the youngster, followed by the rest of the Dutchman.

Kimmich limped off in the 20th minute to be replaced by David Alaba, with Bayern Munich going on to win 3-0.
