Oriol Giralt drew little attention a fortnight ago when he vowed to get the 5,882 member signatures required to request a motion of censure, but having cleared that target three days inside the May 29 deadline he stands on the verge of triggering a poll among the club´s 117,000 vote-carrying members.
If 66% share Giralt´s view, then Laporta and the current board will be forced to stand down - an outcome the lawyer believes is possible. "Something needs to be changed very high up in our club," Giralt told PA Sport´s Football Insider. "There is something very wrong with this president. It is not just sporting reasons. The last two years have been terrible.
