The 21-year-old becomes the sixth Chelsea player to move to Holland on a temporary basis this summer, but will not be linking up with his team-mates at Vitesse Arnhem.

Kane signed a new three-year deal at Stamford Bridge recently, but will continue his development away from the London club.

The former England under-19 star, who is primarily deployed as a right-back will embark on his fifth loan move in the past three years.

He has previously had spells at Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, racking up 62 appearances.

Izzy Brown, Lewis Baker, Nathan, Danilo Pantic and Dominic Solanke have all joined Chelsea's feeder club Vitesse on season long loan deals.

Poor pre-season

Chelsea have had a poor time of things in pre-season this year. They have failed to win a game within 90 minutes and fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Fiorentina last night.

Not much can be read into pre-season results as they lack the drive and tenacity of competitive games, however last nights performance may be cause for concern for Jose Mourinho as his side looked second best against their Italian opponents.

Following their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield, the lack of goals in the absence of Diego Costa may be something that worries the Special One.

It is no time to panic for Chelsea fans just yet with the season not having kicked off and a win at home to Swansea City on the opening day may but to bed some of the concerns that are beginning to harbour with the Chelsea faithful.
