Liverpool ace Christian Benteke has revealed compatriot Eden Hazard offered his congratulations after the former completed his £30million move from Aston Villa this summer.
The big Belgian moved to Anfield earlier this summer and is expected to lead the line for Brendan Rodgers in the forthcoming season.
Hazard's well wishes
As relayed by the Daily Star Benteke has now confirmed that Chelsea’s Hazard has looked to breathe fire into a burgeoning rivalry sooner rather than later, with the Blues man having made his thoughts on Liverpool’s deal clear over text.

“I have been in contact with Eden on text message,” Benteke said.
“He is happy for me. He said now I have a chance to win and to beat him."
Naturally Chelsea fans might be inclined to throw out the idea of the Reds competing with them for the Premier League title this term, but one must admit that to date Brendan Rodgers has been fairly astute in this summer’s transfer market.
Benteke is joined by the likes of James Milner, Nathaniel Clyne Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings in terms of new recruits for the Anfield cause, and all of them appear capable of making a genuine difference.
Of course the former Aston Villa man will be primarily occupied with ensuring he’s Rodgers’ first-choice ahead of other options. Ings is his most likely competitor for the early stages of the season as Daniel Sturridge remains out injured, but when the England international returns it could be a different story.
It could well be that Rodgers envisages a front-line built around Benteke, with the 24-year-old acting as the spearhead in the centre whilst others look to both play off and provide him.
If that’s the case then Liverpool could well have one of the most potent attacks in the league, though question marks will remain hovering over his head for the time being regarding his consistency.
Liverpool fans, do you think Benteke can grab you 20+ goals this season? Let us know in the comments box below.
