Uncapped St Etienne striker Bafetimbi Gomis has been named in France´s 30-man provisional squad for next month´s European Championships, but there is no place for David Trezeguet.

Arsenal defenders Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna as well as Paris St Germain midfielder Jerome Rothen have also been left out by France coach Raymond Domenech ahead of the tournament in Austria and Switzerland.

But there is room for Bordeaux midfield anchorman Alou Diarra, Lyon right-back Francois Clerc and Les Gones team-mate Hatem Ben Arfa, the attacking left-winger.
