Chelsea were held to a draw against Swansea in their opening game of the Premier League season yesterday and Blues fans took their frustration out on one player in particular - Cesc Fabregas.

Oscar gave Chelsea the lead in the first half before Andre Ayew levelled things up with a goal on his debut for the Swans.

A deflected Willian cross gave the home side the lead once more, but Thibaut Courtois foul on Bafetimbi Gomis in the box and subsequent red card turned the game on its head. Gomis converted from the penalty spot and although Chelsea had chances to take all three points Garry Monk's side held on for a well-deserved draw.

Jose Mourinho was less than impressed with doctor Eva Carneiro after the game for entering the field when Chelsea were defending a set piece, however the club's fans took aim at a different target altogether.

Fabregas was anonymous throughout the game as Chelsea battled to try and claim all three points, and the fans were quick to let him know after the full-time whistle had blown.

One wrote: Fed up with Cesc. Has bottlers' DNA inside him." While another added: "If ordinary citizens were caught in possession as many times as Cesc Fàbregas, they'd spend the rest of their lives behind bars."

Pass master

It seems as though Chelsea fans are being a little harsh on Fabregas - his pass completion rate was 86% which was the sixth best in Jose Mourinho's side and he attempted the third most passes too.

The former Arsenal ace led the league with an impressive 18 assists last time round and he'll be hoping to reach that number in the new campaign too.
