Parma and Catania city officials have defended their decisions to ban both Internazionale and Roma supporters from attending their season-ending games at Parma and Catania this weekend.

The committees for security and public order in both cities have decided both games are too high risk to allow visiting fans to attend.

"I had no doubt of the correctness of the Parma and Inter fans," said Parma official Paolo Scarpis. "But I have issued a decree to close down the visiting section of the (Ennio Tardini) stadium (16,000 seating capacity) to the Inter ultra fans and to hand those seats instead to schools."
