Real Madrid captain Raul has not given up hope of representing Spain at this summer´s European Championships even though he has been in the international wilderness since 2006.

Aragones dropped Raul for the first time in his 10-year Spain career following the shock 3-2 defeat to Northern Ireland at the start of their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign - and the striker has not been selected since - but he admitted during Madrid´s title celebrations that he would be willing to help out his country in any way he could.

"Luis has not closed the doors to me. (I would go) to carry the water, make the team..," Raul was quoted as saying in Marca.
