Zenit St Petersburg manager Dick Advocaat insists he is ready to end the trophy dreams of his former club Rangers in the UEFA Cup final.

Advocaat, who was manager at Ibrox between 1998 and 2001, guided the Russian club to their first European final with a 4-0 home win over German giants Bayern Munich on Thursday, which took them through on a 5-1 aggregate win.

And while Advocaat is delighted to see his old club in the final, he will have no compunction snatching the trophy away from them saying: "It is great that Rangers will meet us in the final. It will be a terrific occasion and I can´t wait to see David (Rangers chairman Sir David Murray) and all my other friends from my time in Scotland. But beating them will not be a problem for me."
