WWE: John Cena confirms he will face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam

Football News

The WWE has been panicking in the past week or so thanks to the health and fitness of John Cena.

Broken Nose

Cena was on the receiving end of a vicious knee on an edition of Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago that plastered Cena's nose across the rest of his face, breaking it in several places.

The former WWE Champion was forced to have emergency surgery and hasn't been seen on television since, but now it appears we know that he will be making his comeback, and in epic style.

He's Back

Cena appeared on last night's Tough Enough episode and the reigning United States Champion indicated that he will be ready to go for his epic SummerSlam matchup against current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

The two will be engaging in a Title vs Title fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and it is bound to be an excellent event - as long as Rollins doesn't try to squirm his way out of it that is.

"Responding to Triple H's "Cena is 50-50 for SummerSlam" comments on RAW, Cena said Triple H wouldn't be a good odds-maker and referred to Daniel Bryan's "yes!" chant for his answer to Rollins' challenge," Marc Middleton of Wrestling Inc wrote.

Cena did not say when he will be back in the ring but said he's ready.

Wrestler of the Year?

Cena is the ultimate WWE man and there was no way that he would ever miss an event as big as SummerSlam, no matter how much rest his nose still needs after the operation.

It would have been heart-breaking if Cena hadn't been fit for the match, with him putting in incredible matches all year against the likes of Cesaro and Kevin Owens, that have made him the half-way favorite for the annual Wrestler of the Year top gong.

Hopefully Cena and Rollins can put on another 4 or 5 star matchup which will get the fans in attendance even more hyped up before the main event of Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker.
