The Minnesota Vikings were handed a scare yesterday during training camp when stud running back Adrian Peterson left the field with an injury.
With the Vikings having only welcomed the controversial star back this summer after almost a full season out through suspension, any signs that they may have to wait even longer to unleash Peterson on the 2015 campaign are a big concern.
Fortunately, although Adrian Peterson did indeed suffer a thigh injury on Tuesday, word from a fellow Vikings teammate suggests he will be OK and Minnesota were simply taking extra precautions on Tuesday.

Those in attendance at Vikings camp yesterday watched as Adrian Peterson limped out of a running back play to be attended to by medical staff. When he then headed back to the locker room with the thigh concern, Minnesota fans perhaps feared the worst.
According to fellow running back Jerrick McKinnon, though, the issue isn't as big a deal as it may have looked.
“He got tangled up,” McKinnon said. “A defender fell on him, but he said he was all right."
"Everybody knows Adrian’s got a cape on. He’ll be back out here. I don’t think anybody’s worried about him.”
Although McKinnon is confident that Peterson will be back on the practice field sooner rather than later there has been no official word on the star's condition from the franchise themselves at this point.
With Adrian Peterson already set to sit out all of Minnesota's pre-season schedule (as he does every year) Vikings fans will be crossing their fingers that he won't miss too much of camp as he bids to bounce back from a difficult past 12 months.
Although is thought to have returned in exceptional shape, Peterson cannot really afford to spend much longer on the sidelines if he is to match his lofty 2015 goals.
