Levante´s entire squad have threatened to go on a 48-hour strike over unpaid wages during the weekend of their Primera Liga match against Recreativo Huelva.

In a letter released to the media, the players announced their unanimous decision to strike on April 26 and 27, the weekend they are due to play against Recreativo in Andalucia, unless a solution to the club´s financial problems is found.

The club has been in financial turmoil for some time and the club´s players are reportedly still owed wages from this season plus a large part of their wages from last year, as well as a number of promised bonuses which have not been paid.
