The appearance of John Cena on WWE's Tough Enough reality show has managed to improve the show's viewership from 856,000 last week, to 1.025 million this week, according to WrestlingInc.
The 856,000 last week was the lowest viewership recorded since the show came back on our TV screens. It looks like the spike has been caused by the appearance of the United States Champion alone.
This was Cena's first appearance on a WWE show since he had his nose broken two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw by Seth Rollins when Rollins kneed Cena in the face.

This week's episode asked the Tough Enough competitors to work on their storytelling
techniques. In pairs, the competitors had to come up with a story to tell for a match, and tell it in front of a live audience, which turned out to be the NXT roster.
When the United States Champion made his appearance on the show, he told the competitors that their current journeys in the Tough Enough process is now part of their stories, and he respected them putting out all of their successes and failures for everyone to see.
Whilst on the show, Cena also accepted WWE World Heavyweight Champion's challenge of a title v title match at the second biggest pay-per-view of the year, SummerSlam. This match will take place on August 23 at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York.
He need help by one of Tough Enogh's judges Daniel Bryan to make his decision, which resulted in a 'Yes' chant from the studio audience.
This week, Giorgia 'GiGi' Piscina received the lowest amount of votes and her time on the show came to an end, leaving only five competitors left in the competition.
