Another top Superstar set to miss SummerSlam and WWE are to blame

Football News

Unfortunately for the WWE, as SummerSlam edges ever closer all the talk about one of the company's biggest pay-per-events seems to be about who won't be appearing, rather than which stars are on show.

After reports Sting has been given the cold shoulder emerged alongside fears over John Cena's ability to recover from a broken nose, there are now suggestions another popular Superstar will be missing from the card come August 23rd.

According to NoDq.com, Dolph Ziggler, despite having made a return to action at live shows last week after almost a month out, may very well be forced to miss out on SummerSlam 2015.

The idea of Ziggler missing the PPV was mooted by Lana on last week's Raw when the Diva mentioned he was struggling with a throat injury.

But, according to reports, the real reason the popular star will miss out on the marquee event is because of delays in another arm of the WWE organization.

The speculation is that the WWE are behind in filming for their upcoming '6:42' movie, and, with Ziggler having a starring role in the production, the Superstar is having to complete his responsibilities there rather than get back to his day job.

Ziggler was originally to set to reignite his feud with Rusev at SummerSlam, with the battle over Lana having only been verbal to this point.

Unfortunately it looks like WWE fans will now have to wait even longer to see whether the feud has any legs. Ziggler too will likely be annoyed to miss out on a primetime show.
