Former Rangers captain Lorenzo Amoruso admits his loyalties will be split when Walter Smith´s UEFA Cup heroes tackle Fiorentina in the semi-finals.

The 36-year-old, who is now playing for San Marino side Cosmos, spent two years with Fiorentina before enjoying six campaigns at Ibrox from 1997 to 2003. And because of his affection for both clubs, the Italian is refusing to side with either.

He told PA Sport: "For me it will be very difficult to support Fiorentina or Rangers in these games. Both teams have been very important in my life and even if I´m Italian and the Viola were my first team in Italy, and the first where I won my first title, I spent six good years at Rangers."
