Massimo Oddo´s hopes of playing for Italy at Euro 2008 have suffered a setback, with the AC Milan right-back set to undergo a knee operation on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old, a member of Italy´s World Cup winning squad from 2006, suffered an injury to the meniscus in his left knee during Sunday´s 2-1 defeat at home to Atalanta.

The Rossoneri have confirmed Oddo will undergo surgery, but have not revealed how long the player will be out of action.
