Football News
Goalkeeper Diego Lopez hopes his new two-year contract extension with Villarreal will end media speculation about a possible move away from El Madrigal this summer.

Lopez has reportedly attracted the interest of clubs such as AC Milan and Tottenham following some fine displays for Villarreal, who he joined from Real Madrid last summer.

However, on Monday the 26-year-old custodian penned a deal that ties him to the Yellow Submarine until June 30, 2014 and said: "I have always been very comfortable and very happy here. I hope that now the rumours and speculation will finish and I can be more calm and be able to help Villarreal get even better."
