Football News
Palermo have sacked coach Francesco Guidolin - ending his third spell at the club.

Guidolin was hanging onto his job by a thread going into the weekend´s fixtures, and a 3-2 home defeat by Genoa - his side´s third successive loss - spelt the end of his tenure. Former boss Stefano Colantuono will retake the reins.

A short statement on the club´s website,, read: "Palermo, having looked at the situation through the board, have realised, in the light of recent events, that conditions don´t exist to sustain faith in Francesco Guidolin who therefore, from Monday, has been relieved of his post as first team coach."
