David Trezeguet´s hopes of making France´s Euro 2008 squad have been reignited after coach Raymond Domenech called him into the squad for Wednesday´s friendly against England.

The Juventus striker, whose last game for Les Bleus was a defeat to Scotland in September, had all but given up playing for France again after he was left out of the 39-man squad to face Mali on Tuesday and England 24 hours later.

But Karim Benzema withdrew after suffering a knee injury in Lyon´s victory over Paris St Germain on Sunday, opening the door for Trezeguet.
