One of NXT's biggest tag teams could be joining the main roster in WWE very soon, with Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady competing in dark matches and live events.

This is often a good indicator of an NXT talent being prepared to link up with those on the main roster, and that Enzo, Big Cass and their valet Carmella have made a good impression with those backstage, which is always a good thing in WWE.

The team of Enzo & Big Cass have proven one of the most entertaining aspects of NXT in the past year. Their charisma and promo skills have allowed them to stand out from the crowd, in spite of Enzo's limited in-ring ability.

They are comparable to the New Age Outlaws in this regard, allowing their words to gain the adulation of the crowd. There have also been audible chants in support of the pair on episodes of RAW, especially in the New York area.

Many have been confused by the decision to leave Enzo & Big Cass out of the NXT Tag Team Championship match at Takeover: Brooklyn. It is their hometown crowd which would ensure them a massive pop from the fans, and they were screwed out of the titles at the last Takeover event against Blake & Murphy. Instead, The Vaudevillains have been handed the shot.

This has lead to some speculation that the potential call-up will be happening very soon indeed, with SummerSlam also being held in Brooklyn. The WWE Tag Team Championships are up for grabs in a fatal four-way match, featuring Prime Time Players, the New Day, Los Matadores and the Lucha Dragons.

It would not be out of the question for one of those teams to be taken out in favor of Enzo & Big Cass being inserted into the championship match, or them debuting on the RAW afterwards to gain home crowd momentum from the outset.

It is expected that the trio will be established on the main roster by 2016, and they will undoubtedly breathe some life into a remarkably stale and creatively stifled tag team division. With the Prime Time Players not doing much to increase the intrigue in tag team wrestling as champions, it would be a welcome sight to see Enzo & Big Cass strutting to the ring with microphones in hand.
