PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been told that he can leave the club before the close of the transfer window.

This has been reported by the Daily Mail, who claim that the duo of Manchester United and Arsenal could be put on alert by the player's availability, despite the former seemingly reluctant to bring him to the Premier League.

Ibrahimovic, of course, is one of the leading names in world football, but is now approaching the final stages of his career at 34-years-old.

Despite his age, the Swedish captain managed to score as many as 19 goals in Ligue 1 last term, but it's far from certain as to whether either of United or Arsenal will swoop for him in the coming weeks.

It appears, then, that he will be available on a cut price deal, but would no doubt cost a great deal in terms of wages. Manchester United and Arsenal certainly appear to be on the lookout for a new striker addition, so they could yet look to Ibrahimovic to improve their forward line.

An exciting gamble

Ok, let's be honest, it would come as a major surprise if Ibrahimovic finally completed a move to the Premier League this summer, but it would certainly excite near enough everyone in the game.

At 34, questions will be asked whether he's really cut out to produce the goods in England's elite division, but stranger things have happened

We're all well aware that Manchester United and Arsenal could do with increasing their options in attack, and Ibrahimovic may well prove a gamble worth taking. His goalscoring record, of course, speaks for itself, so let's wait and see if anything develops in the next couple of weeks.
