Football News

With SummerSlam 2015 now just six days away the WWE have made something of a late addition to the match card.

Confirmed by the WWE themselves via reporter Tom Phillips, the new match will see Randy Orton take on Irish Superstar Sheamus.

With Sheamus the current 'Mr Money in the Bank' following success in the ladder match earlier this year that included Orton this match is the latest instalment of the duo's feud.

WWE fans with a good memory may remember that Orton and Sheamus have gone one-on-one at SummerSlam before, the former coming out on top in a 'Last Chance' match that lasted almost 20 minutes.

Not impressed

The 2014 incarnation of the match up though isn't exactly drawing a hugely positive response from the WWE Universe in the immediate aftermath to its announcement.

Fans have been quick to question the WWE's decision via social media...

The match certainly has the feel of a filler contest with the WWE Creative scratching their heads trying to fill the match card only to arrive at a familiar pairing.

Even so, both Sheamus and Randy Orton have the ability to put on a show and they will be hoping to do so at the Barclays Center this weekend.

With Sheamus still a huge factor in the WWE picture due to his MITB briefcase there is also always potential for chaos when he is involved, so his match with Orton might not be his only involvement at SummerSlam, who knows?

WWE fans: Who should Orton and Sheamus be facing if not each other? Have your say in the comments below...
