Real Betis president Pepe Leon has slammed Spanish FA president Angel Maria Villar after the club were handed a two-match stadium ban for the bottle-throwing incident which caused the abandonment of their home game against Athletic Bilbao last weekend.

Tuesday´s decision by the RFEF Competition Committee also saw Athletic controversially awarded a 2-1 win, which was the scoreline when the match was called off with 18 minutes remaining at Betis´ Manuel Ruiz de Lopera stadium.

"We have been forced to call this press conference because of this serious and wrong despotic act against Betis and their fans by Villar," said Leon.
