JANUZAJ TO TAKE ADVANTAGE
Adnan Januzaj is ready to rediscover his best form at Manchester United after his match winning display at Villa Park.
Ahead of the match against Brugge the Belgian believes he has recovered from the disappointment of last season and is ready to kick on after grabbing the opportunity handed to him by Louis van Gaal.
Januzaj made just 18 league appearances last season and is hoping to cement his position in the starting line-up with a continued run of games.
As per mufc.com, he said: ""Last year was last year, and this year is this year. I’m happy at United and I’m happy with the way the manager has worked with me, so I don’t have any issues with that.
"Of course [I’m improving]; the manager has spoken to me a few times and I felt that I haven’t been myself but I hadn’t had many games, so hopefully I can play more this year."
FRICTION AT LAZIO
In other news, reports in Italy are claiming United are still pursuing Argentinian midfielder Lucas Biglia.
TuttoSport claim the Red Devils are wooing Biglia ahead of a possible move, and their pursuit of the 29-year-old has caused friction in the Lazio dressing room ahead of their play-off clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
It had previously been reported that a deal between the player and Manchester United had been agreed, and all that was left was for the two clubs to thrash it out.
With Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin moving to Old Trafford in the summer the competition for places in United's midfield would be huge should Biglia arrive.
DE GEA NOT INTERESTED
And finally, Spanish publication Marca are reporting David de Gea is prepared to lose out on €3 million-a-year to ensure he moves to Real Madrid.
It is reported United will offer De Gea a new €8.5m-a-year contract, but the Spain international will still push for a move to the Bernabeu despite Blancos only offering him €5.5m-a-year.
The situation surrounding De Gea does not seem to be any clearer and it is looking incredibly likely the United star will remain at Old Trafford for another season with Madrid refusing to cough up €40m.
However Marca have also suggested Keylor Navas could be used to sweeten the deal between the two clubs.
