Brock Lesnar believes Vince McMahon is a better promoter than Dana White, and defends pro wrestling after White's 'fake' comments.
The Beast appeared on ESPN SportsCenter this morning according to the Wrestling News Post, where he spoke about White calling pro wrestling ‘fake’, defeating the Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak, and who the better promoter between McMahon and White is.
On who is the better promoter, Lesnar said: “(MMA is) non-rehearsed, absolutely, but the business model is the same, it’s identical.

“I think Vince McMahon is better at it than Dana and that might rub Dana the wrong way… Vince is the pioneer of it. He’s been doing this his whole life and he’s damn good at it.”
Lesnar also defended pro wrestling after White said it was ‘fake’, as he believes UFC and the WWE promote the same thing, fights. He said: “Well, of course, Dana, it’s fake, everybody knows that, but you’re promoting the same thing we’re promoting. Dana White is promoting fights, we’re promoting fights. It just so happens we get a little more longevity out of our fight and out of our fighters because of the circumstances.
“It is a staged arena, everybody knows that. If you can’t turn WWE on Monday night and get something out of that show and be entertained, then there’s something wrong with you. Dana is probably, in his defense, is promoting fighting, but it’s the same thing. He’s trying to sell pay-per-views, he’s trying to sell money fights, and it’s the same racket.”
Brock is right, they’re both promoting fighting, and once you acknowledge the WWE as a fighting opera, rather than being 'fake', you will appreciate the time and effort the wrestlers take out of their lives for it. They still get injured, just like UFC fighters do, so there is nothing fake about it.
