FIFA have revealed the Royal Spanish Football Federation´s (RFEF) ongoing battle with the country´s government will be discussed at the world governing body´s executive committee meeting on Friday.

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero last week assured the country´s football fans that the national team will be at Euro 2008, but was firm in his stance that the RFEF have to obey Spanish law.

Zapatero´s socialist government, which secured a second term in office on Sunday following the country´s general elections, have ordered the RFEF and other non-Olympic federations to hold presidential elections before the Beijing Games.
