Football News

Last night brought news that Buffalo Bills fans had been dreading all offseason, LeSean McCoy had picked up what sounded like a worrying hamstring injury.

With the team expected to rely heavily on the Pro Bowl running back in the 2015 season as they continue to struggle at the quarterback position, losing McCoy to injury would be a disaster.

Updates today then on LeSean McCoy's status will likely be met with a collective sigh of relief from everyone involved with the Buffalo franchise.

Both Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, the two most trusted voices in the NFL, are reporting Tuesday that the Bills expect McCoy to make a full recovery in time for their season opener.

Good break

After what had happened to McCoy's running back peer Arian Foster earlier this offseason - the Texans star ruled out until at least Week 10 after groin surgery - the news that McCoy won't be forced to miss a single snap is a huge boost for Rex Ryan and co.

Add to that the fact that the rest of the Bills' running back corp is banged up and it becomes even more important.

Veteran franchise star Fred Jackson is struggling himself with a "major" hamstring injury.Throw in another hamstring injury (Bryce Brown) and a calf injury for Boobie Dixon, plus the medical absence of Karlos Williams and the offensive issues had been building up for Buffalo.

The Buffalo Bills have caught a break today with McCoy's MRI scan results and their fans will be hoping it leads to big things from the outset when the 2015 NFL season gets under way.
