Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is adamant the club will not sack coach Bernd Schuster, even if they fail to retain their Primera Liga title.

Real are eight points clear of second-placed Barcelona at the league summit, but the club´s recent exit from the Champions League at the hands of Roma raised questions over Schuster´s future.

Reports in the Spanish media last week claimed Jose Mourinho would be taking over at the Bernabeu next season after the former Chelsea boss announced he wished to return to coaching in either Italy or Spain.
