Football News
Bayer Leverkusen coach Michael Skibbe has warned his players they will have to raise their game if they want to overcome Bundesliga rivals Hamburg in the last 16 of the UEFA Cup.

Leverkusen will head into next week´s return leg in Hamburg with a 1-0 advantage thanks to Theofanis Gekas´ second-half header in the opening match on Thursday, but Skibbe is under no illusions that the job is already done.

"We have got to improve significantly," he said. "We did not want to take any risks and concede a goal, and we have managed that."
