Victor Valdes could end his Manchester United nightmare and move to Antalyaspor within the next week, according to football agent Metin Korkmaz.
Korkmaz told Turkish source Radyospor that he had a mandate to represent the former Barcelona ace in Turkey, and that the possibility of a deal being struck between Antalyaspor and United was very much still on.
Van Gaal disagreement
A number of clubs have registered an interest in Valdes since Louis van Gaal dropped him from his squad, but the likes of Sevilla and Valencia - the two other major suitors - have been put off for various reasons.

Antalyaspor, who have already signed Samuel Eto’o this summer, however, look to be ready to push through a transfer, and could do it within the next few days.
“Deco currently has the rights for Valdes and we are trying to work this transfer through him," Korkmaz said.
"Antalyaspor really want him and he would be keen on playing with his former teammate Samuel Eto’o again. We have yet to receive an offer from Beşiktaş. This should all be resolved within the next 2-3 days."
With Valdes stuck in the reserves at United it obviously makes sense for him to take his leave this summer rather than have to wait until January.
Having witnessed his relationship with Van Gaal deteriorate over the course of the past few weeks his position looks to be untenable. With that in mind though a switch to Antalyaspor is hardly a dream move, it’s one that promises first-team football.
Good for Valdes
On top of that it’s a place where he can see out the remainder of his career under minimal pressure. It’s fair to assume that due to his would-be new club’s impressive financial backers he can take home a good weekly wage, whilst at the same time being part of a project looking to topple the monotonous hierarchy of the Turkish Super Lig.
Having only been promoted this summer Antalyaspor have done well to attract Eto’o and possibly Valdes. With the latter being a goalkeeper he’ll have plenty of years left in him to repay their faith.
United fans, do you think it’s a shame that Valdes is going to be leaving Old Trafford? Let us know in the comments box below.
