Pedro excited by Chelsea transfer

Football News

New Chelsea signing Pedro has insisted that he's excited to start his adventure with the west London club after leaving Barcelona behind.

As reported by the club's official site, the Spanish international claims he's at Chelsea to win titles and has thanked the club and supporters for giving him the opportunity to complete the move.

Pedro, of course, had been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United, but Jose Mourinho and the Chelsea hierarchy seemingly made a late move to secure the signature of the versatile forward.

And the 28-year-old certainly appears to be excited by the prospect of lining up alongside the likes of Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Co. at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to the club's official site, Pedro stated: "I am very happy to be here. I am very excited to start my adventure at Chelsea and I am here to keep winning titles.

"Thanks to the club and the supporters for giving me the opportunity to put the blue shirt on."

Brilliant front-four

And, with Pedro now at the club, the Blues possess one of the most formidable and dynamic forward lines in England. There's no doubt about it, a front four of Hazard, Cesc Fabregas, Costa and Pedro really will help the Blues in their attempts to remain at the summit of the Premier League table in this campaign.

Ultimately, with the trio of Hazard, Pedro and Fabregas roaming around behind Costa, Jose Mourinho has one of the most creative attacks in Europe at his disposal.

There's no reason why Pedro won't prove a success story in London, and he will no doubt help fire the Blues up the table sooner rather than later. Manchester United's loss is most definitely Chelsea's gain.
