Barcelona captain Carles Puyol put his side´s shock 4-2 loss at Atletico Madrid down to a bad day at the office and backed them to get back on track soon.

Barca could have gone top of the Primera Liga standings if results had gone their way on Saturday, but their defeat at the Vicente Calderon and Real Madrid´s 3-2 victory at Recreative Huelva means there is now five points between the top two.

"They had a good day and us a bad one," said Puyol. "We had the game under control and in a five-minute spell it has escaped us. Their first goal was bad luck, the second has caused us a lot of damage and with the penalty they have broken the game."
