VVV Venlo hauled themselves out of the Eredivisie´s drop zone with a spirited 3-1 victory on the road at Vitesse Arnhem on Friday night.

Jason Oost set the ball rolling for the visitors with the opener from the penalty spot after just two minutes while Nordin Amrabat´s strike saw VVV surge 2-0 ahead four minutes later.

Amrabat´s second on the stroke of half-time all but settled the game as a contest, although Santi Kolk´s consolation on their hour mark made for a competitive end to proceedings.
