Holland´s Olympic soccer coach Foppe de Haan has dismissed Mark van Bommel´s chances of making the squad for Beijing.

Bayern Munich midfielder Van Bommel is keen to play in the Games even though he has refused to make himself available for the full Dutch side since September 2006 because of an ongoing row with Oranje boss Marco van Basten. The Olympics soccer event is primarily an Under-23 competition although each squad is allowed to select up to three over-age players.

"It´s not an option," De Haan said on NOS TV show Studio Voetbal.
