Hitzfeld handed Swiss job

The Swiss FA have confirmed Ottmar Hitzfeld will take over from Kobi Kuhn as national team coach after Euro 2008.

The Bayern Munich boss, who will make way for Jurgen Klinsmann at the Allianz Arena in the summer, has signed a two-year contract and will take up his new post on July 1.

"The Swiss FA is very pleased that Ottmar Hitzfeld, a very experienced coach with an impressive career at club level, has decided to take charge of the national team," read a statement on
